2026 AGM

As the TMSA Season comes to an end we invite everyone to the BBQ /Award Night and Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Monday June 22nd at 7:00PM at Elks 1. Following the AGM, we will have awards and a BBQ with hot dogs, chips, drinks and other snacks. All games on June 22nd will run from 6:00pm - 7:00PM. 

Attendance at the AGM is very important. Under our current bylaws, 66% of the membership must be present to meet quorum. With over 300 kids registered, this means we need approximately 170 members - aka parents and coaches - in attendance in order to remain compliant with our status as a Society under the BC Societies Act. 

There is a special resolution being put forward at the meeting to decrease this requirement to 25 TMSA members.  There is a second special resolution being put forward to clarify the membership categories and associated voting privileges. 

An election of Board Directors will also be taking place at this meeting.  In accordance with the TMSA Bylaws the Association needs to elect between 7 to 13 directors to serve on the Board.   Once the AGM has concluded, the elected directors will choose a Chair, a Vice-Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer.  The remaining directors will be assigned portfolios such as Coach and Player Development, Umpire Coordinator, Equipment Manager, etc.   

Please consider putting your name forward for the Board—your involvement can make a real difference, and it truly takes a team of dedicated volunteers to keep the Association strong and running smoothly.
